I cannot exactly remember the day when I was clubbed by a long hard object, but the pain it caused in my heart and the wound it produced on my face still lingers until now. Maybe my old master didn’t understand the depth of pain I was experiencing at that time that he didn’t bother to bring me to the vet. Maybe he believed that the pain would eventually go away with my weak groan and whimpers, so he chose to ignore me until he got used to the sounds and accepted them as my normal noise. Day by day, week by week, I endured. Maybe my old master thought I have become a lazy stubborn dog, when there are moments I just want to lay down and sleep all day because i want to escape the twinge I am feeling all over my body and the throbbing sensation rooting from my head. And so one day, he took me to the corner of that abandoned building and left me there to fend for myself...

I laid there for weeks

howling to God to take pity on me. How grateful I am that He finally sent one of His angels -Ms. Susan Espinosa, who embraced me instantly in her arms and took me to the affectionate clinic of Doctor Neil. He diagnosed the cause of my injury, and the findings are not as promising as everyone had hoped to be. The wound on my face, that was never treated and healed from that horrible ordeal, now became a tumour. Doc Neil’s clinic doesn’t have the necessary facilities to attend to my case, and so I was transferred to Saint Joseph Animal Clinic in Parañaque City. The resident veterinarian, Doc Mark, had the same findings. They said, I may not live long enough, given one to at least two years. I will be needing chemotherapy, which they told Ms. Susan is very expensive. For now, I have been given pain relievers and all the necessary pre-medications. How grateful i am to God for the kind hearted people who donated enough money to cover my needs for 3 days. However, to at least improve my condition, the doctors require an additional one month supply of my basic medicines besides chemotheraphy. I am now being fostered by Ms. Maripeth Villegas who does everything to make sure I get the best of comfort in her home.

- Yoyoy is a sweet loving dog. Despite his horrible experience with the former owner, he is very fond of humans. Even though he is in so much pain, he will always greet you with his wagging tail and would always extend his paws to shake hands. He loves to kiss but obviously so deprived of such affection.

We want to give Yoyoy a happy life, let him continue believing that not all humans are cruel. He deserves to experience what it feels like to be loved and cared for. Two years is a very short time, but we can make it worthwhile, believing in miracles.

If you would like to help out Yoyoy, we at PFS have a social media campaign starting with just a $5 to a $50 donation in our art store. As a token of gratitude for your charity, we will be sending you personalized virtual social media badges that can be used as insignias to distinguish your kind contribution to PFS and will also serve as an official emblem of your support in the animal welfare advocacy. They can be collected, uploaded, posted or attached to your social media accounts-Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Blogsites and other outlets. All proceeds will be used for Yoyoy’s treatment, recovery and care.
