Recent Rescues: Mackoo

My name is Mackoo. I was confined in a wooden cage with small holes by my previous human family, when I got infected with severe skin infections. I was seldom fed and was given minimal water to drink.

A woman named Angeline Cornejo saw my inhumane condition and contacted Ms. Malou Deyro of B.E.R.T. and immediately made efforts to rescue me that instant.

July 16, 2015 was the day I was rescued and treated. I was lucky and had 2

kindhearted sponsors, Ms. Raj Mamorno and my Ms. Marnie Umaguing Mercado, who seldom go out of their way to see and check on me at the Vet's clinic. They generously paid for my vet check-up, initial treatment, medicines for a week, my food and soap and thank God, a soothing medical bath and grooming.

My Vet, Dr. Faye, diagnosed me with Demodectic Mange and she said it would be a long and expensive treatment. For some reason, she cannot guarantee the period of my full recovery. I will need to undergo several laboratory tests which will be done after 2 weeks, religiously take my oral medicines, and will need financial aid to help sustain me.

I am now being fostered by my Ms. Malou Deyro and we are humbly asking for your help in giving me more good chances of having a healthy and happy life. I want to be the voice of my fellow fur brothers and sisters that were abandoned, abused and denied a good life to live. Please consider in purchasing an art giclee print, bidding an original art piece, or simply donating so we can be given additional funds for our treatments and rehabilitations.

Please STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY! I was an abused fur angel, but I am still keeping my faith in the goodness of human souls.

To become a contributor to PFS's supporting animal welfare groups, please consider purchasing a giclee painting, making a bid, or simply donating through the avenue links listed below.
